Ashtabula Arts Center Donation Drive

The Ashtabula Arts Center and the Lodge and Conference Center at Geneva-on-the-Lake are teaming up with Goodwill Industries of Ashtabula for a clothing drive next week January 16 - 20. The Arts Center has offered to host the drive in an effort to help Goodwill collect donations and raise awareness.

The Executive Director of the Ashtabula Arts Center, Beth Koski, said, “We have always supported Goodwill in their efforts to improve the quality of life for people with disabilities. We know that it can be hard to collect donations in the winter months so we are reaching out to lend a hand.”

To help the Arts Center’s drive, the Lodge at Geneva-on-the-lake has offered one ‘Overnight Dare to Pair Package’ for their February 2nd culinary gourmet food and wine event as an incentive for people to donate. The package includes an overnight stay at the lodge for two people while they sample heavy appetizers and tapas plates created by six celebrity chefs, taste local Ohio wines and enjoy a lively gala with entertainment and delicious food and drink.

Jeannette Petrolia, the General Manager of The Lodge and Conference Center at Geneva-on-the-Lake, said “Since the Lodge opened in 2004, we have seen the good that can happen when the community comes together to support each other. Over the years, the Lodge and its associates have eagerly donated their time and resources to community projects such as the Ashtabula County Heart Walk, Red Cross blood drives and Geneva's Share a Christmas to name just a few. We are delighted to be able to support Goodwill Industries with their clothing drive to help county residents."

All anyone has to do to win the prize is bring in a bag of clothing donations to the Ashtabula Arts Center from January 16 – 20th. For every bag of donations brought in each person will receive one raffle ticket to win a gift basket which will include the ‘Overnight Dare to Pair Package.’ The more bags a person brings in, the more raffle tickets they will receive.

Goodwill Industries of Ashtabula, Inc. is thrilled to be receiving so much help and support from the community. “We cannot express how grateful we are to the Arts Center and Geneva Lodge for all the support,” Dominic Volpone, Goodwill Industries of Ashtabula’s Executive Director said. “The staffs have been so accommodating and helpful we are sure this will be a successful clothing drive.”
